Scientifically Proven to Promote Better Sleep
From day one, we wanted everything we do to be backed by science. So we teamed up with Allergy UK and Leeds University to test whether our bedding really can live up to its claims.
We needn’t have worried. The tests showed that wool bedding can:
- Boost your chances of a good night’s sleep by 67%¹
- Help you get 25%² more deep, regenerative sleep than other types of bedding. That’s more stage 4 and 5 sleep, which in turn can help to increase overall health and cell regeneration.
The tests even showed that wool is a natural air purifier!

Helping you make a Responsible, Sustainable Choice
We’re always searching for eco-friendly materials for our products and packaging, because non-organic cotton uses 16% of the world’s insecticides and 24% of the world’s pesticides. Our Chatsworth and Organic Washable bedding range uses high-quality unbleached, organic cotton. This includes the Deluxe washable pillow, mattress protector and all-season duvet.
Wool is naturally biodegradable, so when your ONLYW LTD mattress comes to the end of its natural life, it won’t pollute the environment for decades whether on land or in water, unlike other sleep environment fibres.
We’re also on a mission to eliminate plastic from our packaging, delivering our bedding packaged in beautiful unbleached calico bags which look great and can be used again and again.
The Highest Quality, Natural Wool Fibre and Materials
To support hardworking British farmers, we source all our wool from the very best British farms and are proud of the high standards of animal welfare they follow. We only work with farms that adhere to the 5 freedoms outlined in the UK Animal Welfare Act 2006. That way, you know our wool is backed by the highest independently-audited standards of animal husbandry, making it the ethical choice compared with other fibres.
What’s more, all our farm-assured wool is 100% British and traceable back to the farm via our Wool ID® programme.
